How this screen works

Delivery percentage is the share of a day's traded volume that was actually taken into a demat account instead of being bought and sold within the session. A stock that trades 1,00,000 shares but delivers only 20,000 was mostly intraday churn (20% delivery); one that delivers 80,000 saw real positions change hands (80% delivery).

High delivery % matters because it filters out the noise. A price move on heavy intraday volume but low delivery is often just day-traders passing stock between each other; the same move with high delivery means buyers are carrying the stock home — conviction, not churn. This screen lists every NSE stock with 70%+ delivery in the latest session, with its price move alongside so you can tell accumulation from distribution.

Delivery data comes from NSE's security-wise bhavdata file, published with the end-of-day bhavcopy (~6 PM IST). Delivery % = delivered quantity ÷ total traded quantity × 100.

The screen lists equity-series (EQ/BE/BZ) stocks with a delivery percentage of 70% or higher, ranked by delivery %. The Price % column (matched from the live indicator universe) shows direction: high delivery on an up day is accumulation; on a down day it can be distribution into longer-term hands.

Delivery % is descriptive, not predictive. A high reading confirms that today's move had real participation behind it — it is not a forecast that the move continues. Cross-check with price levels, OI and news.

FAQ

What is a good delivery percentage?
There is no universal threshold, but delivery above ~60-70% is considered high and signals that most of the day's trading resulted in real delivery rather than intraday squaring-off. Very liquid large-caps often run lower; a jump in a stock's own delivery % versus its norm is usually more telling than the absolute level.

Is high delivery percentage bullish?
It depends on the price move. High delivery on a rising stock is bullish — buyers are taking delivery and carrying positions. High delivery on a falling stock can be bearish — it may mean holders are being distributed stock at lower prices. Delivery % confirms conviction; the price tells you the direction.

Where does the delivery data come from?
From NSE's official security-wise full bhavdata file, published every trading day with the bhavcopy. Strota processes it after market close (around 6 PM IST) and ranks the stocks by delivery percentage.

How often does this list update?
Once per trading session, after NSE publishes the security-wise bhavdata (typically around 6 PM IST). Delivery is an end-of-day figure — it is not available intraday.
